Glass is magical. For something that starts as a grain of sand, glass has the unique ability to capture, reflect, and transmit light in a way that constantly transforms itself and its surroundings. When cut, melted, manipulated and shaped, it becomes mesmerizing art and practical solutions. I believe that daily objects can be works of art, so I often create work that is as useful as it is beautiful. My adventurous spirit, admiration of strong women, and love of the environment inspire my work. By blending realism and abstract concepts, I hope to encourage interpretation, conversation, and thought.
