Dotty Reiman (Encinitas, California)
Many of my paintings reflect the horse as free and wild such as our wild Mustangs. Some paintings show the graceful Thoroughbreds, the swiftest of all equines, racing to the finish. However, it is the American Quarter Horse that I find the most inspiring. I make an effort to show their strength and at times exaggerate their muscle structure to enhance the power of these spirited animals. When not painting, I can be found with my horses Smarty and Cowboy, spending time with my family, or working with my daughter, Tamara, in our original art and print business called ArtDivas.
