Established in 1996, the Fallbrook Art Center draws art collectors & patrons from nearby Orange, Riverside, Los Angeles, and San Diego Counties and beyond for this prestigious annual international show & sale attended by over 10,000 visitors.
Prospectus
ELIGIBILITY:
Open only to artists who hold Signature Membership status in one or more U.S. watercolor/water media societies or associations.
Digital entries only—JPEG format only, between 1MB—5MB in size.
Any water-based media including watercolor, acrylic, casein, tempera, mixed media and collage on paper or Yupo (water soluble oil paints are not eligible.)
Paintings must have been completed in the past 2 years and not previously shown at FAC.
All paintings must be for sale (the selling price cannot be changed after entry).
SHOW TERMS:
Up to 120 Works will be selected.
Artists may submit 2 works; Only 1 work per artist is eligible for acceptance into the exhibition.
The Jurors will make the selection for inclusion from the digital images submitted; the selection of awards will be made in person by the Jurors.
SUBMISSION DEADLINES:

Notifications by: February 14, 2025
Accepted Work due at the Center no later than: March 25 - 28, 2025

ACCEPTED WORKS:
Works may be hand delivered. Shipping fees to and from the Art Center are the responsibility of the artist. Please include pre-paid return shipping documentation. A $50 handling & storage fee will be charged for all shipped paintings (per box). FAC strongly encourages the use of the Airfloat StrongBox.

FRAMING and SIZE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Image Size: 9" x 12" | Max Framed Size: 60" (on 1 side)
Artwork must be ready for hanging with wire and secured under Plexiglas.
No glass.
No saw tooth hangers.
Keep matting and framing minimal and clean (no heavy ornate wood frames please).
Mats, if used, must be white, light tan, or gray in color.
Your framed painting is expected to arrive clean and free of debris, stains, scratches or breaks.
FAC may rescind the right of hanging to any work unsuitably presented or misrepresented.
ENTRY FEE:
Submission: $65
Shipping Fee: $50
Handling and Storage fee will be charged for all shipped paintings (per box).
FAC strongly encourages the use of the Airfloat StrongBox.
SALES:
Exhibited works will be consigned for sale at the price submitted on the entry form.
FAC will handle all sales, collection, reporting, and payment of applicable sales tax.
40% sales commission.
Artists are responsible for all governmental reporting.
INSURANCE:
Works selected for the exhibition are covered under FAC’s $1,000,000 Fine Art Insurance Policy for stated value less the 40% commission.
Substantiation of value is the responsibility of the Artist.
SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:
A Maximum of 2 paintings may be submitted (only 1 painting is eligible for inclusion in the show).
Application must be completed, and entry fees paid to be considered.
Digital formats: JPG only, 1MB –5MB in size.
NOTIFICATIONS:
All artists will receive email notification of the Juror’s decision by January 30, 2025.
For postal notification, artist must send a #10 SASE envelope to the Art Center Office @ 103 S. Main Ave, Fallbrook CA 92028
