The Inaugural Southwest Exhibition is a groundbreaking event that celebrates the Southwest region's rich cultural heritage and diverse artistic expressions. This exhibition brings together a vibrant collection of works from local artists, showcasing a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, jewelry, weaving and mixed media. Each piece reflects the unique landscapes, traditions, and stories that define the Southwest, offering visitors an immersive experience of the region's artistic spirit. As a first-of-its-kind event, the Southwest Artistry Exhibition aims to foster community engagement and support for local artists, providing a platform to share their creativity and connect with art enthusiasts. Attendees can look forward to engaging activities, including artist talks, live demonstrations, and workshops inviting participation and exploration of different artistic techniques. This exhibition not only highlights the talents of individual artists but also emphasizes the collective identity of the Southwest as a vibrant and inspiring source of creativity.
Prospectus
ELIGIBILITY:
Open to all Southwest artists emphasizing high-quality work possessing precision and a strong sense of design & technique. All art submitted must be new work not previously shown at the Center.
Digital entries only—JPEG format only, between 1MB—5MB in size.
Work must have been completed in the past 2 years and not previously shown at FAC.
All work must be for sale (the selling price cannot be changed after entry).
SHOW TERMS:
Artists may submit 10 works;
The Curator will make the selection for inclusion from the digital images submitted.
The Art Center provides display sets for the exhibition – generally, we’ll display 10 pieces per artist, but this depends on size, etc. Artists are encouraged to provide extra pieces to replace sold work (can be delivered at the beginning and/or during the run of the show). Accepted artists will receive specific delivery instructions. Inbound and outbound shipping costs are the responsibility of the Artist. Insurance is the responsibility of the artist. A 40% commission is retained by the Center on all sales. No refunds for cancellation after acceptance. Fallbrook Art Center reserves the right to withhold any work from display that does not meet established standards. We reserve the right to photograph work or copy slides for publicity purposes. Communications will be conducted via email. Send a postage paid envelope for mail notification.

ACCEPTED WORKS:
Works may be hand delivered. Shipping fees to and from the Art Center are the responsibility of the artist. Please include pre-paid return shipping documentation. A $50 handling & storage fee will be charged for all shipped paintings (per box). FAC strongly encourages the use of the Airfloat StrongBox.
ENTRY FEE:
Submission: $65

SALES:
Exhibited works will be consigned for sale at the price submitted on the entry form.
FAC will handle all sales, collection, reporting, and payment of applicable sales tax.
40% sales commission.
Artists are responsible for all governmental reporting.
INSURANCE:
Works selected for the exhibition are covered under FAC’s $1,000,000 Fine Art Insurance Policy for stated value less the 40% commission.
Substantiation of value is the responsibility of the Artist.
SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:
A Maximum of 10 works may be submitted
Application must be completed, and entry fees paid to be considered.

NOTIFICATIONS:
All artists will receive email notification of the Curators decision by July 23, 2025.
