Ring in the New Year! 

We have bumped up the Annual Guild Show to January this year. Visiting families will still be in the shopping mood! Let's start the New Year with an artistic bang!

 

The 14th Annual Artist Guild Exhibition is a celebrated event showcasing local artists' diverse talents, providing them with a platform to display their work and engage with the community. This year's exhibition features various artistic mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. Attendees can expect to see innovative pieces that reflect contemporary themes and creative expressions. The event highlights the creativity of established artists and aims to support emerging talent in the art world. In addition to the exhibition, there may be workshops, artist talks, and networking opportunities, making it a vibrant gathering for art enthusiasts and creators.

Prospectus

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Membership in the FAC Artists Guild is required (if you aren’t currently a member, or you need to renew your membership, you can join and pay on line before completing the show application).

  • Annual Guild Dues: $75

  • Digital Submissions: https://fallbrookartcenter.org/opportunities.php Guild Show

  • Entries: $65 non-refundable. Up to (5) five entries per artist; Handling Fee for Shipped work $35

  • Application completed and signed.

  • Email Biography to: info@fallbrookartcenter.org

  • All selected work MUST have sales tags with Artist name, Title and Price (including 40% commission). These tags must match the Artist Inventory Sheet

  • No refunds for cancellation after acceptance. The Fallbrook Art Center reserves the right to withhold any work from display that does not meet established standards. We reserve the right to use images submitted and/or photograph work for promotion.

SHOW TERMS:

  • JPEG format only; 1MB – 5MB in size.  Images must be at least 1MB in size. 

  • The Curator will make the selection for inclusion from the digital images submitted; the selection of awards will be made in person by the Jurors.


SUBMISSION DEADLINES:

  • Artist Application Deadline: Dec. 31, 2024

  • Notifications by: Jan 3, 2025

  • Due at the Art Center on January 7th, 2025 | between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm

SHOW DATES:

  • January 14, 2025 - February 1, 2025

OPENING RECEPTION:

  • Date: Saturday January 11, 2025

  • Time: 4:00pm - 6:00pm

AWARDS:

  • 1st Place - $750

  • 2nd Place - $500

  • 3rd Place - $250

SHOW CATALOG:

ACCEPTED WORKS:

  • Works may be hand delivered. Shipping fees to and from the Art Center are the responsibility of the artist. Please include pre-paid return shipping documentation. A $50 handling & storage fee will be charged for all shipped paintings (per box). FAC strongly encourages the use of the Airfloat StrongBox.

JURORS for SELECTION & AWARDS:

FRAMING and SIZE REQUIREMENTS:

  • All 2D work must be matted and framed. It is strongly suggested that you use simple black or silver frames and white mats.  You are selling artwork not frames.

  • All 3D work must be stable – sit flat on top of pedestals

  • Artwork must be ready for hanging with wire and secured under Plexiglass / glass.

  • No saw tooth hangers.

  • Keep matting and framing minimal and clean (no heavy ornate wood frames please).

  • Your art work is expected to arrive clean and free of debris, stains, scratches or breaks.

  • FAC may rescind the right of hanging to any work unsuitably presented or misrepresented.

ENTRY FEE:

  • Submission: $65

  • Shipping Fee: $35

  • Handling and Storage fee will be charged for all shipped paintings (per box).

  • FAC strongly encourages the use of the Airfloat StrongBox.

SALES:

  • Exhibited works will be consigned for sale at the price submitted on the entry form.

  • FAC will handle all sales, collection, reporting, and payment of applicable sales tax.

  • 40% sales commission.

  • Artists are responsible for all governmental reporting.

INSURANCE:

  • Works selected for the exhibition are covered under FAC’s $1,000,000 Fine Art Insurance Policy for stated value less the 40% commission.

  • Substantiation of value is the responsibility of the Artist.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:

  • A Maximum of 5 artworks may be submitted.

  • Application must be completed, and entry fees paid to be considered.

  • Digital formats: JPG only, 1MB –5MB in size.

NOTIFICATIONS:

  • All artists will receive email notification of the Juror’s decision by January 30, 2025.

  • For postal notification, artist must send a #10 SASE envelope to the Art Center Office @ 103 S. Main Ave, Fallbrook CA 92028
