The mostly non-objective subject matter of my work allows maximum latitude in creating a finished piece. My graphic design experience strongly influences my choices of design, media and process. Reaching a conclusion happens through first steps, small or large alterations, multiple evaluations, and sometimes the complete obliteration of early layers., Making art is continuing education - and as such gives endless opportunities to test one’s ideas, grow one’s skills, and find satisfaction in one’s work. Professional history Art studies in and out of school through high school and college (completed with a BA in fine art) Work as a graphic designer in corporate and major university settings; Post-graduate studies in painting and fabric design. Teaching extension classes at junior college.
