Janet
Perkin
AWARD-WINNING MIXED MEDIA ARTIST
Exciting, eclectic, color, vibrancy, abstract with a strong message.
These are some of the words used by other artists to describe Janet’s art.
Janet is an Abstract Expressionist or Fauvist. Bonnard, Matisse, Derain and Klimt are artists who have influenced her style.
A convinced flouting of color and form is an important feature of her work.
Using watercolor, acrylic paint and collage, she weaves a story to connect with the viewer. She has been recognized by the National Collage Society and recently featured in its annual calendar for five successive years.
Many poets have been inspired by her art. Her paintings are included in The Merging of Art and Poetry Summation book published over the last 14 years.
Her work is exhibited in galleries, corporate offices and homes throughout the United States and in Europe.
