Debra Sievers, a native of Fallbrook, began creating art at a very young age. Her formal art education started at Philadelphia College of Art and continued in New York at the Art Students League and New York Academy of Design. Debra’s studies with several contemporary masters had a profound effect on her art, culminating with six arduous months of intense training in France with Ted Seth Jacobs.

A passionate explorer, Debra has found inspiration living in many different environments. Her favorites include New York City, Taos and her beloved Greek island, Poros. Considered an accomplished portrait painter, Debra enjoys painting anything natural, especially people, animals, olive trees and the sea. Regardless of her subject, her goal always is to capture its "spirit" and evoke an emotion in the viewer. 

Debra’s art can be found in numerous resorts, casinos, wineries and galleries  around the world. Collectors include Shirley MacLaine, Loews and Hilton Resorts, Del Mar Racetrack, Circus Casinos and Ferrari -Carano Winery and the Catholic Church.  For the past several years, Debra has enjoyed a continuing artistic collaboration with Europa Village Wineries. Her custom paintings and murals can be seen throughout the resort.

Debra currently lives, paints and teaches in Fallbrook, California.
