Daniel  Marquez profile picture

Daniel started his career in Cd. Juarez, Chih. Mexico. Painting Folklore themes with oil on black velvet. In 1980 he moved to Los Angeles, CA and studied many techniques such as airbrush, silkscreen and printmaking. He worked with, paper, canvas, synthetic panels, metal and ceramic tiles. His artwork has always been influenced by Surrealism.  There are also a Pre-Columbian themes involving interpretation of the indigenous rituals. Images in his artwork are from feelings of confusion, struggle, and faith.

His intention is to create works of art that draw the viewer into contemplation and engage them in finding a meaning.
