Artist Profile

Art and creativity have clearly defined Barbara's life for as long as she can remember, inspiring her to not only live a creative live, but to also pursue art professionally.  She is a painter, jewelry, and mentor to countless number of students throughout her distinguished career as an arts educator.

Barbara works in a variety of media:  primarily acrylics, but also watercolor, collage, print making (monotype, chine colle', etchings), plus silver gemstone jewelry.  Her paintings range in size, but are always full of creative problem solving, developed in layers using rich colors and a wide variety of tools and techniques.  The results are a marriage of texture, color and composition, a balance of energy and grace.
