James Wallace profile picture

I am a veteran of the U.S. Army and live locally here in Fallbrook. I an oil painter who likes to paint in a semi photo realistic style.  My primary focus has been landscapes but I can paint anything I take a photo of on any substrate.  My artistic journey started as a form of therapy which evolved into a passion that is primarily driven by the desire to transport the viewer into the realistic feeling of the painting. Almost as if the subject was taken by photo with a painterly feel to add a three-dimensional illusion.  I’ve learned from watching YouTubers such as Michael James Smith, Andrew Tischler, Carla Grace and Chuck Black.
