Event Details

Join Instructor Casey O'Connor for all things clay.  This course is ideal for beginners as well as those who have experience with hand-building and potter's wheel techniques.  Students can work independently or Casey can suggest skill-building projects to help you achieve success in the studio.  No experience is necessary, and all skill levels are welcome.  This class will explore both functional as well as artistic creativity in working with clay, glaze, and fire. 

Each student is allowed to create up to 6 pieces of average size to be bisque and glaze-fired per six-week session. Additional pieces may be subject to firing fees. Clay can be purchased at the school for $25 per 25 lbs. No outside clay allowed.

Students to Bring: Apron, old towels and (optional) water bottle. Please wear close-toed shoes.

Optional Open Studio

When registering for any adult FSA Ceramics class, you have the opportunity to register for Open Studio too.  Six (6) Open Studio sessions are $85.  Each Open Studio session includes one, 3-hour day per week for 6 weeks (see below for schedule details). You will have full access to the FSA Ceramics Studio and an FSA Instructor will be present to answer questions and assist you, but no new lessons will be taught during this time so you can concentrate on your art.

NOTE:  Prorated days, substitutions, or make up sessions are not allowed.  Students who register for “Open Studio 1” for example, may not attend “Open Studio 1 and/or Open Studio 2” unless they have paid for that / those session(s) accordingly

Rules:  FSA’s Open Studio sessions are only available to registered FSA students of adult Ceramics classes.  Students may register for multiple Open Studio sessions.  

Fallbrook Arts, Inc. Covid Policy Update 8/26/2022:  For adult classes at FSA – Masks are required for unvaccinated individuals. Fully vaccinated individuals are recommended to continue indoor masking when the risk may be high. For all K – 12 school aged students, masks are strongly recommended.
